Meet Daryl Savage III

Daryl breaks down his artistry and what's next to come..

Daryl Savage III

We love to discover new christian creatives and are so happy we had a chance to interview this artist. We asked Daryl a few short questions about his artistry and what to expect next. Here's what he had to say..

Every artist has a unique story. Can you tell us a little about yours?

"Apart from having God 1st, Family 2nd, Racing 3rd, Rapping would be number 4. Always had love for music and not just Rap, Sometimes reggae or jazz or slow jams."..

Please tell us about your art. What do you do / make / create? How? Why? What’s the message or inspiration, what do you hope people take away from it?

"I Rap, and the reason why I rap is because I know the tongue is powerful, you can speak life or death (Proverbs 18:21). And the world that we’re living in today I want to speak life especially through my music and glorify God. And what I hope for the amazing and beautiful people to take away from my music, is that Having a relationship with God is truly awesome, and that they can experience the Loving, Graceful, Awesome Relationship with God just like me, and hopefully to be impacted and to let Christ in their hearts. And also to I love the feeling of just Spitting on the mic and expressing myself"..

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?

"You can find my music Streaming on all platforms, and if you feel led to, subscribe to my YouTube Channel “Daryl Savage III” and my IG is @dsav916"..

When and why did you start playing/making music?

"I started to learn how to write rhymes when I was in middle school, my dad was a rapper himself back in the day , and I asked him to teach me. Fast forward 3 years later, I was still practicing and learning and my dad would look it over and have me rap and rehearse it out loud to see it how it would sound and we used to record ourselves, and go on Facebook every Friday where me and him would post videos of us rapping. After graduating high school in 2017, I wrote my first song by myself without the help of my dad and it was called “Blessings”. Between 2018 - 2023, I was up and down with rap, recording and sometimes posting on social media but was never taking it serious, but in 2024 I committed myself to taking this Gift that God gave me seriously and spread his word through music."..

Tell us a little about your faith journey and how you came to give your life to Jesus?

"I grew up in a church all my life and my mom made sure to instill that into her children. My church home is Spirit Truth Church (STC the Well). Awesome church and awesome family. I remember I told my mom I wanted to be baptized and I was 14 years old. My Pastor asked me why I wanted to be baptized and I answered “because I want to be closer to God and be the man that God sees”. After that went through many ups and downs, a typical teenager trying to figure out life. By the age of 22 I wanted to become more closer to God and Mature more, and I started to read the Bible more than what I used to and actually learned the gospel and read about Jesus. Also started to participate in different ministries at my church which also helped in my walk with Christ, especially the Hope homeless Ministry and Youth Ministry."..

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?

"I’ve been working at Automotive dealerships for the past 5 years. I’m a Warranty Administrator"..

How do you balance your music with other obligations - significant other, children, job etc? Are you full time music?

"No I’m not full time music. And I try my best to balance everything, by prioritizing and By letting Christ be in the center, I remember hearing from my pastor in one of his sermons is that we can’t pour into people if we don’t allow God to pour into us."..

What advice would you give up and coming independent artists?

"Enjoy the process and enjoy the Journey and Remember that God has plans to prosper you NOT harm you. And Keep your eyes on Jesus."..

Do you plan to stay independent as an artist? What's the next move?

"Yes I do plan to stay independent."..

What can we expect next from you?

"An Album Coming soon. And more testimonies"

What inspired your latest single "Thankful" and what do you hope people take away from it?

"My Family inspired it even if they’re believers or not, I still love them dearly and God blessed me with them and not only being thankful for them but being Thankful for the hardships I was going through at that time and I just felt to give God glory and praise. And I hope people can take that, no matter what you’re going through, whether it’s something regarding a specific person or dealing with health or mental health. Let’s continue to give God the praise he deserves because things could be so much worse and God has already finished the work through Christ. We’re already healed, delivered, set free, the head and not the tail. So I definitely want to encourage everyone to be thankful for the hardships because it’s making us stronger. "
