We love to discover new music and so happy we stumbled across this gem. We asked townsend a few short questions about his song "Didn't Happen". Here's what he had to say about it..
What inspired this song?
"I had recently got out of a relationship and I was feeling empty. It was hard to get over and part of me started wishing that the entire thing never happened in the first place so I wouldn't have to feel so depressed about it and that's sad - because I really did appreciate it. I grew as a person and learned how to love a little better from it."..
What do you hope the listener takes away from the song?
"I want them to feel that bittersweet nostalgia. To lean into those sad feelings that they may have went through because sometimes we don't fully appreciate then for what they're worth. For me I tend to repress my emotions so looking at the good that came from the bad is really helpful for me to not hold resentment and feel okay again so I hope they can do the same."..
What can we expect next from you?
"Right now I think I'm leaning towards putting out a little EP so keep an eye out for that in the next few months :)"
