Every artist has a unique story. Can you tell us a little about yours?
"Ockeino Grant is a God-fearing man, musician, songwriter, producer, and worshipper. He was born and raised in the island of Jamaica, in the parish of St Catherine. He grew up on Roots Reggae and Dancehall music. He attended Eltham High School in Spanish Town Jamaica and moved to Florida in 2014 where he developed his musical skills in singing, playing the piano, guitar, and formed his relationship with Christ."..
When and why did you start playing/making music?
"Ockeino started music in 2015 because of his new founding love for the presence of God. The more Ockeino worshiped the more he found his calling entangled in music. He released his first single in December 2017, titled “In All The Earth”, then went on to release his debut album in March 2020 titled, “Beauty For Ashes"."..
Tell us a little about your faith journey and how you came to give your life to Jesus?
"After escaping death at the age of 17, being attacked by a group of men carrying weapons, Ockeino then made a promise that he would surrender his life to the Lord if he gave him a second chance at life. After visiting a church in Spanish Town, Jamaica at the age of 19, he was reminded by the pastor through prophecy of the promise he made to God back at age 17, and that God was calling him to the faith, to leave behind a life of sin and was calling him to a higher standard."..

What do you want people to take away from your music?
"I see myself as an Artist. An artist is one that is not restricted in his or her creativity; my music is extremely diverse in that it caters to almost all genres: Dancehall, Reggae, Hiphop , Rap, R&B, etc. When people listen to my music I want them to know that it is ok for them to step out of the box that this world would like to place them in. I want people to develop a boldness in their creativity and in their relationship with Christ."..
Tell us about your latest release "Blessing Me"?
"Ockeino's latest single, ''BLESSING ME'' is a song reflecting on his ups and downs in his relationship with God.
It speaks about how he was ridiculed by men, but God's grace and continuous blessings allowed him to overcome. ''BLESSING ME'' can be found on all major digital platforms for downloading and streaming."
