Edgar Everyone on his song "The Field"
New release as of 2022
We love to discover new music and are so happy we stumbled across this gem. We asked Edgar Everyone a few short questions about his song "The Field". Here's what he had to say about it..
What inspired this song?
"I started writing this song in Brooklyn, back in the early days of the pandemic. At the time I was doing plenty of meditation, self-care & therapy; the outside world was quite bleak because of Covid but I had music as a refuge and I started feeling empowered to create my own reality and keep my spirits high. I was convinced more than ever that you can always seek guidance (what some would call "Prayer"), and strive for a better future when you keep being grounded, and unafraid of darkness. I was also reading French physicist Philippe Guillemant, who has an interesting theory of time (nonlinear of course) - and I always love when Science and Spirituality start pointing towards the same direction - so in a way what I called The Field was a direct reference to God, or The Quantum Field - depending on what prism you look into."...
What do you hope the listener takes away from the song?
"I hope that whoever listens to this song feels empowered: to follow their own instincts and their guidance, to never give in to fear mongering (hence the line "Turn the Media off, remember what's yours"), and to be reminded that during hard times one of the ways to keep going ahead is to dance to a good groove!"..
What can we expect next from you?
"I am planning to keep releasing singles every couple months during this year. I want to put the name Edgar Everyone out there, and explore the boundaries of my own creativity within this project. I believe that when the audience has a better sense of what I am proposing musically, I'll be ready to release a first album and consolidate my vision. Feel free to give me a follow wherever you are listening if you want to help me in this quest :)"
