We love to discover new music and are so happy we stumbled across this gem. We asked Scarlette Elise a few short questions about her song "I Choose To Pray" Here's what she had to say about it..
What inspired this song?
“This song started from my own curiosity about the effectiveness of prayer, and I wondered how it could be possible that God has a perfect and unchangeable plan, while He also hears us and takes our prayers into consideration."..
What do you hope the listener takes away from the song?
" So, I did some research and came to realize that Scripture is full of verses that urge us to pray in all circumstances, and promises that the Lord will hear those prayers. But the biggest thing that I wanted the listener to take away from this song was that even if their prayers aren't answered in the way they hoped, prayer is effective because it is drawing us closer to the Lord, making us dependent on Him, and changing our hearts. We can trust that He hears our prayers and He will do what is best for His glory and our good. I hope the listener is encouraged and reminded that God loves them more than they could imagine, He sees them, and He hears them."..
