New release as of 2024
We love to discover new music and are so happy we stumbled across this gem. We asked Sam Heilig a few short questions about his song "Like You're Not There (Ft. Jillana Jones)". Here's what he had to say about it..
What inspired this song?
“This song is about self-acceptance and learning to be comfortable in your own shoes. The more that I've changed myself to try to find acceptance in other people, the more it's left me feeling lonely and lost. I thought that it would be fitting to self-produce the track and kind of discover my own sound in the process. I'm excited about where it ended up, and it feels like a good blend of all my stylistic influences. My friend Jillana Jones is singing on it, and then my other friend Michael Westbrook (David Crowder's band) plays lap steel. Everything else I did myself."..
What can we expect next from you?
"We are slated to release a few more singles as well as some live videos from Sam over the next few months!"
